Need Funds for Vet Care?
If you are not approved for a loan through Care Credit, or you are not currently a JVC client and are therefore not eligible for an installment payment plan through VetBilling, we have compiled a list of ideas and additional resources for you, to help you secure funding for your pet’s veterinary care.
Suggestions for Raising Funds
1. Borrow money from family or friends
Your friends and family know you and may even have a relationship with that pet and will want to help.
2. Crowdfund
Crowdfunding has become a popular way to raise money for costly medical and vet care. Our preferred organization is Waggle, as the funds go directly to the vet clinic for your pet.
3. Apply for a personal loan
A personal loan is an unsecured loan (not secured with collateral such as a house or car) that you can apply for through banks, credit unions, or online lenders. Personal loans are typically paid back over a specified period of time in fixed monthly installments. Visit your bank or a site like Credit Karma to generate a list of available lenders.
4. Apply for grants
There are many non-profits out there that financially assist people for pet emergencies. The Pet Good Samaritan Fund is one that we partner with often. Scroll down for more resources.
